A collection for coding agents
Skills for Understanding
I collect skills that help me understand the software I work with: how the pieces fit together, how they communicate, and why they exist.
A skill is a set of instructions you can add to your coding agent. These focus on clear explanations and learning through practice.
See the big picture
mental
Start with the simplest working setup, then follow it as new pieces appear. Diagrams show the actors, the boundaries, and what travels between them.
Try: “Take me from a local Node script to someone running my package with npx.”

Learn by building
coach
Build a small version of a real tool to learn how it works. You write the core logic; the agent guides you with hints and handles the supporting work.
Try: “Help me learn how a key-value store works by building one.”

Using the skills
The installer lets you choose your coding agent. After installation, invoke /mental in Claude Code or Cursor, or $mental in Codex. Invoke /coach or $coach for guided learning: you write the core logic, with hints before answers.
See the repository README for installation options and compatibility notes.
